Do This When You Are Bored at Home

Oh my God, I'm so bored right now. Let me just scroll for a bit.

Bro, that means you can do anything you want.
Yeah, but I don’t know what to do.

Instead of wasting your time scrolling, here are eight things you can do when you're bored at home. Starting with physical activities! By the way, if you watched my previous video on this, these are completely new ideas.

Physical Activities to Do When You Are Bored at Home

  1. Stretching
I know what you're thinking: "What are you talking about, stretching?" Listen, I know you probably don’t think of stretching, especially if you’re young. Most people neglect it. If you’re bored and have nothing else to do, use this time to do something good for your body. Here’s a simple stretching routine you can do right now:
  • Hip flexors: 30 seconds on one side, then the other.
  • Take it back: Lean forward for 30 seconds on each side.
  • Feet together: Lean down and hold for 30 seconds.
  • Wide stance: Stretch each side for 30 seconds.
  • Bridges: Start on your back, push upwards, and return to the starting position. Do this five times for three sets.
  1. Push-Up Game
This one’s fun and challenging, like something straight out of a movie! Grab a deck of cards. Here’s how it works:
  • Whatever number you pull is how many push-ups you do.
  • Face cards (Jack, Queen, King) count as 10 push-ups each.
  • Keep going until you finish the deck or can’t do any more push-ups.

Mental Activities to Do When You Are Bored at Home

  1. Take an IQ Test
Test your intelligence and analyze your cognitive skills. It’s a fun and insightful way to pass time. I recommend using this free website for an IQ test. It takes about 25-30 minutes. At the end, you’ll get your IQ score, which you can compare to the average score of 100. Retake it if you want to see improvement.

  2. Talk to Strangers Online
A surprising but effective way to develop your social skills is by using platforms like Monkey. It’s similar to Omegle, where you can talk to strangers from all over the world. Use this time to practice conversations, develop confidence, or even test out your comedic skills.

Here’s an example of how I used it:

Me: “Hey bro, why are you on Monkey? Is it because you’re bored?”
Stranger: “I want to connect with people from my community.”

It’s a unique way to step out of your comfort zone while connecting with others!

Creative Things to Do When You Are Bored at Home

  1. Make Content
Get creative by making videos, whether it’s for TikTok, YouTube, or Instagram. Pick a niche you love—fitness, photography, gaming, or anything else. You can make faceless videos with voiceovers or record yourself directly. This is a great way to express yourself and potentially build a following.

For example:

  • Film a time-lapse of building a Lego set.
  • Make a reaction video.
  • Create a tutorial showing a cool skill you know.

What starts as a fun hobby might even turn into a full-time gig!

  1. Learn a New Skill
Challenge yourself by learning something new. It could be:
  • A physical skill like handstands.
  • Editing and content creation techniques.
  • Playing an instrument. Grab that dusty guitar and learn with YouTube tutorials!

You can also learn a new language with apps like LingoAI. It combines movies and shows with interactive captions, making the process fun and educational.

Fun fact: Bilingual people have better cognitive functions and multitasking abilities. As someone who speaks English, French, and a bit of Arabic, I can confirm—it feels good!

Financial Activities to Do When You Are Bored at Home

  1. Sell Unwanted Items
Got random items collecting dust? Take pictures and post them on Facebook Marketplace. You’ll turn clutter into cash while learning sales and negotiation skills.

  2. Explore Side Hustles
Use your free time to research online ways to make money. We’re in a digital gold age with endless opportunities:

  • Affiliate marketing
  • Copywriting
  • Dropshipping
  • E-commerce

That’s it! Do this when you are bored at home and make the most of your time. See you in the next post!
